Dissaponited too with the lack of injuries in Edith’s face, that was really important and now is just a watered versión. But I’m glad the dad is acting as a head of the family and as a important noble, the novel lacked that part seriously.

I can’t decide if it’s a “we can’t make the fl look ugly ever” thing or if it’s a “we have to limit how graphic the violence is” thing. It feels like the first one more often because you know someone prioritized looks over details, but I’ve seen works have all the abuse and violence implied or cut around to keep a rating or something.
idk whats with manhwa adaptations and not depicting the injuries mcs get correctly.. especially when it comes to torture scenes. it’s always nonexistent or just some scratches. so disappointing 🙁
The dad not trusting his eldest is new. There were a lot of complaints that the author was too light on him and the blond.
But, yeah, Feyren is right. Edith is supposed to be horrifically injured at this point, where no one can recognize her. And her being so beat up is a major part of why she is redeemed, since it shows she wasn’t colluding with the enemy.
I feel bad for the trusted guard who probably just got executed, I wonder if the blond one told him the message was from the princess, or similar.

I like that they made duke father more like human being who has a duty to uphold. He feels like a real person now, but… I still can’t figure out how manhwa going to go with the plot point of Edith being seriously physically hurt and whole face thing?
It was kinda important way to show how badly she was abused in the basement. And part of also her pain and low point.
