The prince looking a bit feminine in his clothing is historically accurate. It’s only in modern times small children started wearing trousers. They’d have worn small childrens’ skirts and dresses, which were a unisex item in the old days. At least if we’re talking about Europe. (Of course these stories always have people acting in ways that make NO SENSE if we’re talking say, 17th to 18th century Europe.)
Listen, i’m usually not one to push gender roles, but the prince looks a little too… princess-like to make sense in (what i’m assuming) a very patriarchal society, unless there’s a reason he’s straight up dressed like a girl.
