What the h***? Characters with no substance and just plain 2 D. No logic, like wasn’t your eyes gouged out? Why is your war clothes so impractical? Why are you wearing it for 10 years with no damage to the clothes? No comaradarie between the soldiers? Cliche villains and cringe worthy dialogues????

Didn’t they gorge her eyes out? How does she have them? Also, there are a lot of people who fought by her side, I can’t imagine they’d turn on her so fast. Nothing builds camaraderie like your life being on the line. Also, did they send her back in the same clothes and those clothes lasted for 10 years? they are remarkably clean and lack holes despite being in a dungeon and being tortured. I still find it hard that her mother didn’t have any feelings towards her (or at least complicated feelings where maybe she was scorned for her existance so she hated her but then I don’t think she’d show such sick pleasure of seeing her back and having her executed). I just have a hard time believing you can raise someone from infancy and not have any attachment what so ever. Humans arent’ generally built to not build relations after sharing space. That’s kind of why stockholm exists. You build a relation and sort of trust with your captor to survive despite knowing they have you against your will and will harm you. I see this a lot in these stories, raising someone and pretending to love them for years only to do an about face and kill them without remorse, but realistically, I don’t think many people can do that without some sort of guilt or attachment without being a complete psychopath.
