@ch.rose I disagree and don’t think you need to pitty him at all. He’s a king not some victim that can’t do anything to get out. He’s has knowledge (the best in the empire, mind you) and so many ppl near him that could tell him what’s going on is bad. Or he could use that head of his and see the obvious manipulation. He also grew up with nanny’s and other care takers, that man could’ve pick someone to be a mom to him. He chose to Spock like glue to a woman that actively hated him and made it apparent he wasn’t hers. Everything he went through was bad and shouldn’t have happened? Yes. Does that mean we should pitty a grown man that is actively trying to clip the fl wings? No. Feel bad for the kid not the man he grew into
I kind of pity him now. I mean he was abandoned as a kid and has no one to rely on or someone who loved and show it to him. And he got the throne in a young age. The only one who gave it all was the Duke. He brainwashed him since a kid. So it’s natural that he relies on this as***le. He doesn’t really know what’s right or wrong. Due to all this made him mentally unstable. I hope he find his peace at the end. ( of course through the chapters I was also furious like you all 😆 I still love our FL & ML 💞)
