   Ok, if you approach this like it’s the campiest of ridiculous telenovela-times-ten dramas, there is something here that can be enjoyed. Do not take it seriously in the least. It is the cheeto-stuffed, deep-fried twinky of spicy revenge enemies-to-lovers porn stories.

   So, there’s the female lead. She is an idiot. There’s an entire population of red-haired people who were enslaved and reduced to an animal-like existence. She is one of them. Her dad, a scholarly duke, made her a great experiment by raising her like a normal person, and everyone oooed and ahhhed over how smart the monkey is and how powerful noble blood is to overcome her beastial nature. Upon learning she is NOT a half breed, like she thought, she instantly develops a “oh woe is me, I am but a beast, and my natural inferior nature will overcome me!” attitude that is absolutely stupid and infuriating. Like, shouldn’t you see yourself as living proof the stereotypes are stupid? But no, she now has crippling self esteem issues.

   She was engaged to the Male Lead. He’s just a mess. His mom, the Empress, was caught doing weird blood magic on him. He spent his childhood on the run, and then locked up in the tower on the FL’s property. Of course, the FL brought him food everyday. Of course, he fell completely in love with her. And, of course, she doesn’t remember him at all. Apparently, she tattled something he said to her dad, which got his mom killed. He has resented her and vowed revenge ever since. He spent his first life heading a rebellion, but FL died before he could do anything to her. He is then reborn. He wastes zero time cutting his father’s head off immediately, placing his little brother on the throne as a puppet king, and arranging a marriage with the FL. His whole plan is to make her view him as her entire world and then destroy her, so his revenge will be that much more devastating. It’s not because he’s still in love with the little girl who helped him and he needs a justification and excuse to let himself marry the supposed murderer of his mother, oh no. This is all Revenge! So he’s going to marry her and be a weird bipolar pervert who swings between kind and obsessed, and total raging a-hole scumbag so fast your head will spin. A sublot is how this helps all of the other red heads and that their destroyed secret culture was actually really advanced or something.

   Like I said, it has it’s place, do not expect anything great, an enjoy your cheeto-stuffed, deep-fried twinky garbage with secret shame.
