This novel shows the consequences of human greed, extreme ambitions and selfishness. Some realises the dangers of going through their selfishness like Ivans and tries to straighten up their responsibilities. But some stays true their ambitions like Empress and do everything to achieve it. And let me tell you Emperor is not fool as well as well but a true embodiment of human greed…

She could’ve had a harsh up bringing. Her own mother and father could’ve raised her in this way of thinking. Or she been through something very harsh and she turn out this way.

Although we don’t know anything about her mother, and we just found out that she has a brother.

BUT what we do know is that she holds the reigns even when her own father was alive.
She currently holds her position with an Iron fist, and will destroy and intimidate anyone that gets in her way.
She is a foe not to be mess with.

So this makes me think, she is a smart villain, in a way.

So lets talk about it. She is someone who will used everyone at her own desoable. Her father, brother, family, allies, damn even her own son. Just to get to the goal that she wants to get to. She will uphold hold herself AND her family name.

If sacafices have to me be made, just for her to succeed, the got damn it that is something that will be done. And she will have no problem about it.

Now she is dumb, and not too smart, simply because she won’t understand what she lose until its to late. For example, take this chapter right here. The man from the Ivan’s, has made a realization that its not a safe or smart idea to continue this relationship. He realize how reckless and how uncaring the empress really is. She will cut off anything and anyone to do what SHE wants to do. And he finally can see that, that is not good for his family or anyone on his side.
He’s smart for noticing the danger right away and will try his damn best to get anyway from this dooms call an empress.

On the other hand, the emperor is going to fall for her tricks. And not to mention is going to end up suffering a lot before he either dies. From betrayal from her or his foolish son. Or he will suffer a lot before he realize too late. Stupid is what stupid does and this poor guy is stupid.

I can’t wait to see Tia and a bit more of the twins as well. I feel like i havent seen enough of them.
Commentors saying “Empress is smart or isn’t incompetent”… but IMO, I find her being incompetent and dvmb as Empress. The fact that she’s willing to create man-made calamities due to greed and sufferings of communities.
Her mentality is reason why her kid is air-headed too. Both just too arrogant and self-centered to observe their surroundings.
