The FL can be stupid and naïve, but I guess that’s how she is. She doesn’t seem to understand that the imprint isn’t always the cause of his actions.
The ML is annoying, too. He can’t be honest with her and respect her wishes.
Other than that, it’s funny and cute. not a very deep and interesting story.

Also FL: Gets totally wasted on a ball with hundreds of people around, and ends up sleeping with ML she was supposed to avoid.

Pretty much lost me on the second chapter when we learn the ML will be going through a rut soon. (I hate sex tropes and prefer little to no spice, but it isn’t always a deal breaker) Tried to power through to see if there was anything of substance, but they literally don’t interact at all before his first time calling on her “services”. He’s flip flopping between being a cold duke and obsessively sweet while she wants to return to the original story and is confused on her own feelings because of him.

The story will just be spinning its wheels until they actually talk or are forced to talk because any feelings going on will be blamed on the imprint for the foreseeable future.

It’s nice. It’s not super substantial and the plot isn’t really getting anywhere. I feel like we’ve been in basically the same spot the whole time, but it is only 18 chapters in so maybe that’s a hasty observation. It’s a nice read when you’re just looking for something that isn’t super deep.
