Just like a movie, this arc doesnt have to do anything with the main story at all

I have to say it: this last plot arch didn’t mean a thing and was a waste of time. Character didn’t grow, didn’t get anything (a pass but they could have found it laying on the ground and plot would have advanced faster) and adversaries were dummies and unlikeable. As a reader I feel slightly bored if anything. From now on, in dictionaries, the entry “plot filler” will have a link to this.
