I’m not saying she wasn’t at fault because she also was, but you guys are also turning a blind eye to Carmen’s wrong. Yes, she was delusional. Yes, she was being so annoying and sticking by his side without considering the idea that he might not like her. But if you guys look at the whole picture, Carmen is also at fault for humoring her, stringing her along and making her think the way she thought. Sure she had tunnel vision, but even Carmen failed to tell her how he really felt early on. I get that he might’ve been wary of hurting her feelings, but if you think about it in a long-term perspective, postponing telling her about his true feelings will only hurt her even more. He should’ve told her he didn’t love her way before, so she would know and that she wouldn’t be doing all the things she did.
Chelsea was in love, blindly. It’s not her fault for falling for Carmen. She is, however, at fault for just going at her pace without asking about how Carmen feels. Carmen should’ve also seen just how much she was being sincere with him and should’ve thought about how she would feel if he kept on lying to her like that. Not once did he ever show her that he wasn’t interested, or if he did, clearly it got lost in translation and Chelsea didn’t receive that signal. They are both at fault. It’s just unfortunate.
So I don’t understand why some of y’all are blaming Chelsea for the most part when Carmen was also in the wrong. Imagine, you’re giving your all to someone you love, and that person acts in a way where you would misinterpret it as love towards you too. You’ve been so inclined to thinking that they did have the same feelings for you for a long time that when they suddenly drop a bombshell like I don’t love you, wouldn’t that hurt? And the fact that Carmen also told her he’d marry her without love kinda seemed like he was taking pity on her because of this ngl. So yeah, they’re both at fault.
