He said he hasn’t seen his siblings in 10 years and that he ran away from his hometown to become a painter. I’m not sure if it’s a cut and dry as simply taking her back to his kingdom.
I assume we are about to find out his reasons for being there, his motivations for approaching the empress (aside from being in ‘love’ with her), and the spirit that follows him.
