When someone loves a person and he/she don’t know the reason why he/she loves the other person is what a real love is .

I’d do the same thing in his position. He believes she spends time with him because she knows he won’t fall for her. It was true in the beginning, until he did fall for her. Now he feels like he needs to deny his feelings, which is hard to do if he’s around her all the time. So he has to avoid her. It may be flawed logic, but it shows how much he cares about her, to deny himself of the feeling of love for her.
