Yea it’s not realistic, this story isn’t overall lol. But Eris was already a f*cked up person in S Korea. You can tell just by he way she acts and treats others.
So yes, I think stabbing someone is fine for her, she is #1. She is selfish but also human. This world is not fun for her, other isekai stories the villainess clearly eventually becomes the beloved FL.
I think the only thing I’m not liking is I really want the crown prince, king, queen, and father to suffer. I think the original FL needs development too. She seems fake AF, naive, and I can’t come to like her even if she is not ‘evil.’ She’s not helpful either. If she loves the prince why isn’t she honest?

@Ihatebitches I totally understand why you wouldn’t find this realistic because maybe you would react differently in a situation, but for me I think the way Eris acts is pretty on point and I just think her lots of mentality is realistic.
Ok first, I think the reason that MC is able to have the thought of killing Helena is coz she knows that she’ll be resurrected by the high priest (it states in the first chapter). Also especially because currently in the mind of Eris, these aren’t all ‘real’ people, they’re instead characters in a fictional novel living exactly as the novel had stated they would.
So I understand why some people would choose to stay in another world, but I really like my life here. if I were in the situation of the MC, would I very deperately want to go back to my world where my family, friends, internet, modern technology is? 100%. If I knew that there was an option to go back to my world, I would take it over running away any day. And honestly If I was living that hell of a life, having little to no connections to anyone and not even caring about my own life in this world; idk about stabbing but yes maybe I would poison someone that’s guaranteed to survive.
Also I think that Eris has to follow the original story so she can’t really just run away… but also if it were me living as noble under high security (coz literally going to marry the crown prince), i probably wouldn’t be commited or brave enough to be potentially running away from trained professionals with no strong connections within this world. Especially in a world where I don’t proper knowledge of how society works here yet, and the only safe place would be out of the country probably. Running away to another country with minimal connections, knowledge of the language and proper understanding of the society would be terrifying.
However I do get your point about the MC just trying to kill herself off the bat just like that being unrealistic. I guess she really hated the world to the point of being suicidal. I imagine if I were in her situation I wouldn’t be in a great mental state, but idk about suicidal…

the law of causality of the novel won’t let Eris die until she completes her character’s ‘task’ in the novel which is to kill Helena. But I do share the same thinking as Eris, like why does she need to stab Helena to death instead of just poisoning her when both consequences are death? hmm and about the tears. does she need to collect the tears of someone who truly cares for her? The queen truly is despicable with the choices of her words. I hope she’ll get a taste of her own medicine sooner or later.

This all world is too toxic and fake for her. Plus if you know there is a way to go back, why not trying it? If in your mind you know this world is a fiction, you will automatically separate yourself from the rest and no value this live the same way as your original live.
