While I’m sure Iseop’s cousin and his fiancé are good people, I can’t believe the family is forcing Iseop’s mother to arrange the wedding. It’s likely bringing back a lot of reminders that her own plans for the future had to basically die due to her sister in law’s decision to break off the engagement with her brother I think. Now I get and fully support Iseop’s aunt marrying for love, but it’s quite obvious Iseop’s mother was the one who had to suffer the consequences for it, forced to marry someone she didn’t love and lose her career, and watch as her husband consistently cheated on her. Making her arrange her nephew’s wedding is adding insult to injury, especially as it is a marriage similar in type to what made her get married. I’ve heard there is a comic that is the prequel to this, but I haven’t read it so all I know is from what I’ve read in this comic. But just based on what I’ve read so far, it makes Iseop’s aunt seem kind of selfish for getting to enjoy her fairy tale romance while his mother has to deal with the fallout of the aunt’s choices. But let me know if I’m completely wrong about this, this is just what I’m gathering from the loose subtext.

You’re right. Cleaning up someone else’s messes makes one bitter.
