One thing that always bothered me about these types of sub-plots. Whenever the bad guys have the upper hand in the dungeons, its always “No evidence, cant prove anything”. Basically, the bad guys get away scott free. If one tries to kill Mc, there’s almost never an investigation. But if its the MC targetting a bad guy, then all of a sudden, testimony is valuable, and most of the time, there’s an investigation of some kind against the MC. I dont care which way it goes, but both good guys and bad guys need to be treated the same with this sub plot. I wish all the authors would pick one lane and stick with it. Its annoying when they keep flip flopping between it, just to keep the suspense going.

Shame I was expecting MC to learn more from this.
