look I kinda experienced the same I was the elder one and had to compromise alot which I was not mad about but i had to make my parents realise what indifference they were showing so I started being petty in one incident where me and my friend baked a few cakes for a fundraiser and I saved my part to eat as a midnight snack, i told everyone to not touch it and woosh it dissappears pretty soon so I got petty and annoyed the hell out of my parents at both home and their workplace for three days. i constantly remainder them about it like 3-4 times every hour. this showed my parent that their soft child could also be their nightmare
