The entire thing was a good strategic move as the commander of the rebelion. But a shitty one as a lover. Geez. I can’t help but think what good enemies to lovers manhwa it would be if Annette was a cunning daughter of the tyrant instead of this wronged noble lady. And it’s not that traumatized characters who will learn to stand up for themselves are bad characters, I love them, but those character arcs aren’t supposed to end with them coming back to their abusers, which I assume this one will become.
