They definitely set up the Emperor to be like this from the beginning. MC’s impression was first of a violent ruler who cuts down opposition. Then even at his most playful, we were shown glimpses at his rage for ML even being conceived. Last we are being led to think he regrets what he did to ML while slowly forgetting that in the original timeline, the Emperor never actually acknowledge ML’s true lineage. He only did so after the marriage to woman of a minor poor noble family who was already married off once before.
I don’t like this plot, but it’s not 100% out of nowhere.
This man only wants power and the fact that his lil bro (mind you he forced his lil bro to act like a cousin) could get more power than him is scary. He probably going to get this marriage annulled. It’s the most small pee pee I’ve seen in a min
@kanaria I feel like they have constantly talking about the emperor this way while he was nothing but nice to fl. I feel like they were setting this up since the beginning. The emperor was helping fl because he gained something from it. He pushed down Parnell and locked Tyrone from a better marriage (politically).
