@HaruAk Exactly, I agree with you, the ML’s behavior so far has been according to the circumstances. It seems some people forget the real reason behind the FL’s approach 😒. She had plenty of time to talk and tell him the truth how long was she planning to keep it a secret? The worst part is that in the email she doesn’t explain anything at all, it was just an empty apology. Obviously, it’s easy to turn her into the victim because she feels bad and now suddenly “loves him” 🤡 as if the fact that she loves him now automatically invalidates all her past lies. But what about his suffering? I haven’t seen anyone talk about his pain, his hurt, or feel pity or sadness for how he got caught up in this situation. On the contrary, I’ve seen people saying he’s “overreacting” and that it’s “not such a big deal,” that he should just bow his head and chase after the protagonist because “the power of love” can fix everything 🤦🏼♀️ not even close.

I know right? He really liked her genuinely. I mean she also started to like him later on but after conforming her feelings she should have been truthful. Shi yan did not found out through someone else he realized it himself which is even worse. Shi yan was never at fault from beginning every actions he took was realistic but shuyi instead of crying she should have gone to apologize whatever behavior he showed. Apology through email??? I mean it’s not like their was no other way to contact him. She knew his house and office??? If i was in her place i would have apologized with whatever it took. Self esteem and embarrassment cannot equal to someone’s love, trust and honesty they have given you. The other person should at least hear a PROPEER APOLOGY to show that you are remorseful of your actions.

I honestly can’t believe some of the comments blaming the ML for the FL’s actions 🙄. Some readers are so double-standard when the roles are reversed. I haven’t seen a more realistic attitude than the one the ML has, which is exactly how any real person would react after finding out they’ve been used or deceived 🤦🏼♀️. They say the FL acted with maturity, but I don’t think it’s very mature to want to start something with someone else just to get back at your ex. Take responsibility for your actions and apologize directly. I don’t understand why authors love to victimize FLs as if they can’t be accountable for their own behavior, so they create these “convenient” scenarios where the one hurt or involved has to take the first step 🙄😒. This was such a disappointment.
