It is a trashy thing to do. Rumors are spreading about Hari and she struggling to make friends because of it. Shoot, he started this plan before Hari even got out of hospital. Hari is cursed of his stupid plan. She would have gotten over this ten year crush if he would have come out and rejected her.

Maybe I going to regret later, but I think his childhood friend is not doing that because is trashy or something. But, maybe, she don’t want to give Hari false hope. He wants she give up on him, so they can be friends like before.
Instead of rejecting her, maybe hurting her badly (like have a weak heart), he hopes she give up on him.

She better say something like « I don’t want to be friends with you anymore, what you did was cruel » , she better not say «don’t worry I understand » Or I will legit slap her . I also hope the piece of trash sees her in black haired guy’s arms and then black haired guy side eyes him !
