3 years is more than enoug to remember somone close to you with still the same physic after 20 years.. As 24 years i still remember very well my best frend when i was 5 years.
he didnt, it just her name that reminds him of “someone” he knew from the past. it has been 20 years and he was 3 at that time, theres no way he can remember her clearly. if he did, the story would be taking a different route.
