FL is not dumb, she is being kept in the dark and hasn’t ever been allowed to take charge. Her going out and putting on a strong show could be an excellent way to maintain stability. Being forced into this flim-flammy state of anxious inaction is damaging to her psyche, her relationship, and her company.
The FL is dumb! Best thing is to not overreact as it might cause alarm that places herself in danger. They’re not married so if she jumps around about her father being missing or dead you’ll have the vultures circling to get access to the family inheritance, including the FL (who might get shoved into another marriage or sent away). Also visiting the accident site, where? Its a large body of water, what does she plan on doing swim around, go deep sea diving? Even travelling by boat could put her at risk if the father’s accident wasn’t an accident. There also seems to be a detail of the site area being located near a former enemy territory. The FL would just be placing herself in a risky position to investigate a site that is impossible to access without having some modern equipment or being an expert diver. The ML is dismissive and neglectful with his attitude but I understand him more than I do the dumb FL, who wants to tell everyone that her father might be gone, placing herself in danger, and then rush recklessly to a large body of water, stuck on a boat with no means of assuring her own safety.
Oh, let me guess 🙄 the author will brush his bad character off with misunderstanding and “Oh, I love you and protect you in this way that I know off and I will refuse you to leave me because you are mine and I am a red flag” and somehow the fl will be dumb enough to accept and then a sudden rushed happy ever after.

Every time I read a story like this I hate the ml idc if he can’t express himself properly I really hope he isn’t the ml but he probably is 🙄😑
