This is the problem with this trope. The FL always gets caught up in the original storyline, that they don’t realize that it’s already been muddled. What she’s doing is simply pushing that future forward and making it worse.
She’s frankly the backbone of this place. If she were to dip, everything will fall apart, including him. And even if he were to betray her like she thinks he will, the servants will literally riot. After all, we saw how angry those two got at even the thought of him breaking things with her. She was the one who saved this place, she is their hero. They will fight for her.
She’s kind of stupid. She thinks her husband is this raging psychopath who is going to kill her or allow his one true love to kill her….but her plan to get away is to make him insanely jealous? Wouldn’t that speed up the whole getting murdered thing?
