i don’t think this dude is the emperor because they already showed the emperor in chapter 2 and he looks like helena- dirty blonde with blue eyes. if he has red eyes and black hair then he is either the duke of the north, a knight with no affiliation or a mercenary king or something like that. must be the child brought in by countess rolland (the etiquette teacher).
