Kids are one of the most difficult people to reason with/ change their minds…
For Catherine to accept everything so easily
For her to turn her back against the one who raised her so preciously,
For her to accept a cheating dad and her mom, who is his secret mistress by betraying her friend
Everything can’t be blamed at the brainwashing that might have come afterwards…
I don’t think there would be a redemption arc for this girl neither would I support for one
Hmm I think otherwise🤷♀️
Although it’s true that kids should never be blamed because at the end of the day they only work with what the adults taught them is right and wrong
But
Catherine was raised spoiled but still growing under a mother who was widely known as a saint thru out the empire for her selfless acts for the poor and weak
The fact when Catherine was asked how the duchess would treat her if she found out her true identity
Her first guess was her mother being disgust because she is a commoner
That shows she was never in the right path to being with…
I kinda feel sorry for Catherine. She had to have been brainwashed to turn her back on the person she called mother for the first ten years of her life. She’s still only fifteen maybe there is hope for her, but the way the story is going I’m not seeing her changing.

I agree Catherine immediately accepted it like her original mother meant nothing to her compared to status
