Adding to my previous comment: so far (I’m at chapter 38 rn) the way the adults are parenting and raising Valerie and Elants tells me that the author has experience(?) with healthy parental relationships along with unhealthy ones in the way that Valerie’s parental abuse is written so far. Though I could be overthinking and projecting lol I got mommy issues 🫠 here’s to hoping it doesn’t get weird

Really sweet and heartwarming <3 all the adults getting along as a family and the lovely non-jealous sibling relationship valerie and elants have is so refeeshing. I love how kind and responsible all the adults are to the children so far (: I also like how Valerie's journey with healing her trauma from her previous life and mom are being written and how she opens up to her new family about it. It's been great not haveing to read through eyerolling misunderstanding cliches
