Tbh that’s still on the nanny cause how do you hold that level of animosity towards a child? this isn’t a slave contract or even indentured servitude so if she had enough time to scheme a stupid plan like this, then attempt to manipulate the situation, then she could’ve manipulated ol girl to negotiate on her behalf to bring the daughter in (others would’ve done that via making the daughter a maid in waiting but since the daughter was sick, giving the nanny more pay or better care for the daughter would go a long way if it came from the fl). This plan was too risky with too many negative outcomes
I love the way people support the nanny but guys … every action has its consequences and you have to take responsibility! You wanted to curse a noblewoman, what did you expect? She has a sick child? Okay, so what? Rather than cursing someone out, asking your employer for help can work too, especially if FL is there to argue on your behalf. You really make me laugh when you feel concerned by a fictional character, you’d do better to look after your own life a bit more, it looks so miserable that you have to read stories worse than yours to feel like you exist XD

the nanny did was enough to get her and perhaps her whole family killed. Yes nanny now going to struggle getting job at a noblemens place but that is honestly the consequences of her actions for doing something malicious to an innocent person. Actions have consequences. Letting her live and leave intact and perhaps even a severance pay is already more than kindness compared to the rest of the society. Got to understand the fl is not completely confounded by the novels society norms so what she does differs from it already. And working as a nanny for nobleman she must’ve have more money compared to most commoners jobs out there already. In the end even the maid was greatful her life was spared cause now she can just focus on her daughter. Honestly I didn’t even plan to write this much but oh well.

The author tried to make her seem generous by allowing her to be by her chikd’s side, but now they have no job available for them to support themselves and banned her from any high paying job. You basically sentenced the nanny’s child to death.
