Honestly she couldn’t really send any letters, at least not early on. For starters, doing so would’ve caught the attention of the Duchess (let’s not forget she has informants around), and if she would’ve known that that the FL had a weakness, she would’ve exploited it. Not to mention, the letters could’ve also gotten intercepted, because it’s not like the FL could actually travel far enough to send the letters since that would leave the ML by himself, and at the start he was too vulnerable. Lastly, sending letters would’ve caused the ML to distrust her since he wouldn’t know the reason for why she was. Then there’s the FL’s family, they didn’t even know the reason why she left, so if she started sending letters, they would’ve likely tried to trace it and find her and bring her back.
Quite honestly sending letters wouldn’t have done her much good in the end, since she had eyes on her at almost every moment. Her best route would’ve been to try and explain to her family before running away. This way her parents wouldn’t have spent so much time and money trying to find her and left the business to her brother. However…even that isn’t a guarantee for success since her parents may not understand the reason she had to leave in the first place.
