This got me wondering: was the original story line one of those “villain ML” tropes, where the kind FL comes in and changes the ML’s personality? Does everything bad the ML did in the past get overlooked simply because of the relationship he develops with the nice FL? As far I can see the ML in the original story seemed like a nice guy. However we soon found out he is a terrible person. However now after meeting the original FL his whole demeanor changed. Normally a villain ML would have a sad past for their villain like behavior, but from what I’ve seen with the crown prince he had a good life and his villain like behavior is due to greed and power for the throne. As well as being a womanizer. Also how did the original story even end? Was the current crown prince going to be a good king or a bad king? From what I can tell according to the original novel I assume he was a good king? So why is his personality so different as portrayed in the original novel?

He as a crown prince can say ‘let me warn you’ blah blah stuff to elena who is the daughter of a duke
But she as the daughter of a duke can literally direct the same statement to the rusty metallic haired woman who is just a pathetic, narcissistic, creepy, wretched, poor excuse of a human, plain old commoner!
Just guessing here. As soon as that bitch sees the prince and finds out he’s more useful than that asshole. I think she’s going to go after him instead and switch targets. I’m just guessing here guys. Bc everytime a sneaky bitch see’s a useful pawn they take it.
