One thing i do love about this series is how every single connection here was women gaining independence and working on that. Usually it’s simply factions designed to simply support the lead but every single woman in here wanted a specific thing of their own in their lives and operated with that goal and built community based on the support of that.

Even Lisa, as depressingly pragmatic as she was, just wanted to live her life independence of her father’s influences. She’s nobody’s bestie here, bc she wasn’t allowed that, but wasn’t actively screwing over the lead to be petty..

The attendant who lost her tongue removed thought she had a genuine connection and was used as a pawn bc she genuinely had faith in the person she was serving. It’s fitting that Lisa specifically was the one who saved her instead of sending someone else bc she knows how ppl like that operate bc of her father.
