Basically FL has two moms, one bio one foster. Her biological mother is Duke Schultz’s wife (he’s also FL’s bio father) that was kidnapped by the emperor while pregnant with Ellie (FL’s mom is a mystical fairy hybrid with extremely strong magic, and the emperor wanted that power in his blood line so he kidnapped her and intend to use her and make her his empress). FL’s foster mom is railey (current empress half sister), which at that point was a lady in waiting for the now captive FL’s mom, they became best friends after a while
While in captivity the current empress here (was still just a count’s daughter aka hasn’t married the emperor) was envious of not being the empress candidate so she conspired to kill FL’s mom in captivity, at some point after FL’s mom gave birth to ellie in captivity and is dying so she asked her best friend, railey, to take ellie away to safe her from the emperor and to eventually return ellie to Duke Schultz. So she took ellie from prison and ran away while being marked a thieve by the emperor, at that point she basically raised ellie as her own while evading capture trying to reach duke Schultz. Sadly railey wasn’t able to survive half way and was caught while ellie was safely given to an orphanage.

so…………………….the fl is the duke’s daughter. from wut i remember from spoiler that someone spilled yep- the duke(black hair red eyes) and the late empress’s child is the fl. and railey was good friend of the late dutchess. i dont know i think the late dutchess was killed i forgot. so the late dutchess handed our fl to railey. and if i am not wrong the stone might belong to late dutchess. thus railey might have stolen it. i am not good at remembering names soreh. i only remember damian’s name because i imagined his as the damian from spy x family lol- oki come to the spoilers. i dont really remember if this was the correct spoiler. i may have mistaken in some places but what i am not mistaken is that the fl is the daughter of duke and late dutchess
