The Emperor is a woman, and the concubines are men. To explain the story so far Mc is part of one of the 7 main families all the families have to send one if there children to the emperor to eb a concubine, the MC was sent instead of her siblings because her parents don’t like her and she doesn’t have telekinesis like the rest of the family. Our Mc is a transmigrator who has read this story before and knows what happens so she is trying to distance herself while the emperor AND concubines think she is a cute kid and will care for her like she is their own child.
