well, saintess often have some form of brainwashing magic one way or another, so who knows, maybe she just keep brainwashing all the assassins send to her.
Oh, now i remember that they also send couple of assassins, and get the report that assassins lost their memory and live a clean life as a priests, so it’s not even just a guess anymore 😀
