   2 things that made the ‘cheating’ kind of acceptable in this story, although it’s still kinda eh:

   1. ML stopped sleeping with other women after they got married. He was basically ‘sowing his wild oats’. He did sleep with women while they were engaged though, but that stopped after they got married.

   2. Him sleeping with other women had MC’s approval. She WANTED him to sleep around so she could be left alone. Idk about you but if a dynamic like that has consent between both parties, then it’s their business. I hate genuine cheating, but here MC knows and even ENCOURAGES him f*cking around.

   Also seeing so much spoilers here in the comment section so might as well put my piece 😬 While I wouldn’t go so far as saying Ines “brainwashed” Carcel, she did kind of played with his feelings and fully bet on the fact that he will remain a playboy during their marriage considering that’s what she knew of him from hearing the rumours in her previous lives. In fact, she becomes angry and frustrated whenever Carcel refuses to cheat on her or even stay in the same room with other ladies who clearly covet him. Carcel was stupid to cheat on her despite disliking and not having a say in the engagement, of course, but Ines also didn’t make things easier when she’s been giving so many mixed signals for years, even during their marriage when Carcel actually tried to become a good husband to her while she kept pushing him to remain a playboy for her benefit. And it’s not like she has anything against him, but she’s very willing to manipulate not just him, but other people around her disregarding their feelings and reputation for as long as it aligns to her goal. What I’m saying I guess is that while Carcel’s playboy ways at the start is inexcusable, Ines is far from an innocent bystander by any means. But that’s what makes these two and their growth interesting in my opinion. Ines and Carcel are clearly very flawed people who do reckless things out of fear and confusion, but they eventually work things out despite the circumstances against them, and eventually become a very understanding and mature couple after all these. Just because these two are far from perfect, doesn’t mean that they won’t have room for development. This story and couple is not for everyone, that is true. It’s definitely not going to be the go-to story if you’d like a very fluffy and romantic getaway. But I do hope that people don’t just judge this story for its premise and stop hastily insisting others to not read this because really, that’s not your call to make. Let the readers judge it for themselves, let the readers enjoy it even if it’s not your cup of tea.

    I really wouldn’t call it brainwashing. Ines pushed Carcel away and acted indifferent towards him because her goal was to get a divorce after giving birth to a child. What I’m surprised about is that she was able to keep her sanity despite remembering all the events from her 2nd and 3rd lives. Man, she had to kill her own son. T_T

    btw people who say FL brainwashed ML to cheat need to improve their reading comprehension. In novel, FL only intended to push him away from her, she never knew he would actually go ahead and FUCK anything with a heartbeat. And she has no brainwash powers or anything.

    I think this is based on this one overrated novel where FL suffers so much. Premise is very similar but my memory is hazy.

    .

    FL and ML have gone through a couple of TLs and guess what, FL is the one who suffers each time.

    .

    1st TL – FL and ML marry and very much in love, some jealous beech gives FL medicine that makes her lose her baby, she becomes depressed, wants baby so badly. ML forces abortion on her when he finds out she eventually got preggo again bec her body is too weak. she starts to look pale and ugly (in her POV), I think both FL and ML die same time but diff locations and make wishes that affect the upcoming TLs

    2nd or 3rd TL – FL marries obsessive prince who is a BIG whore, like bigger than ML. He gives her a STD and some sht happens I don’t remember rn but I think she kills him? not sure but she suffers a lot

    2nd or 3rd TL – FL marries a painter against her fam wishes and they are happy, very in love and have a son. ML is a playboy as usual. Anyway her fam takes her away I think, and even kills painter? not sure but I know FL kills her own son because she’d rather kill him than let her fam kill him and kills herself from what I remember.

    4th TL = current TL – ML is a bigger slut because FL remembers past two TLs and wants to use him to live peacefully and encourages him with manipulation to cheat on her, she knows he is a playboy but also powerful fam backing and she can escape him when the time comes also she can avoid the crazy prince using him. Well ML starts to become aroused by her and decides to become a good husband and a lot of sht happens but finally they have a happy ending

    Carcel is like this because Fl has brainwashed him. Otherwise, this is one of the best ML I’ve seen so far. You will love ML for sure! In fact, this is already Fl’s fourth life. In this manhwa, only those who have sinned or died a death that was not their predestined death can have memories of their previous life. In the first life, Fl was married to Carcel, but she has no memory of her first life because she died a natural death. The only one who has a memory of the first life is Oscar because he was murdered by Fl’s brother I think. In the first life he already loved Fl so in the second life he did everything to make her marry him and not Carcel. He married her in the second life, but he made her suffer a lot, and she committed suicide. As a result, Fl remembers her second life, because she had a tragic end. So in the third life she ran away with a painter and lived in poverty with him. They even had a child together. But her brother (Luciano) found them and she had to kill her son herself. She had another tragic end. In her fourth life, which is now her last, she decided to marry Carcel without knowing that she was already married to him in the first life. She wants to marry him because in her other two lives she heard that he was a playboy. She thought that if she married him and had a child with him, she could divorce him afterwards and no one could force her to marry again. That’s why she brainwashed him when he was little so he could become a playboy. Carcel was never a playboy in his past lives. Those were just rumors probably started by the crown prince so that Ines would not be interested in him. Carcel has loved Fl in all previous lives. He has no memories because he never sinned in his previous lives.
