So what if he has a thing for her? Doesn’t make his sane, aware attitudes any better. He is knowingly playing with her emotions. Devil or not, the fsct he does it consciously makes him unreliable. And now she trusts him to do what he said he would, and he refuses. Unfortunately, he is the ML, but regardless, it’s not romantic. It’s selfish, and that’s how he showed himself since the beggining. She has all rights to be mad.
You guys are misunderstanding the entire story and it shows, Diabel obviously has a thing for Aiana but doesn’t show it (there are signs if you read the chapters carefully)
erez/ayana is the cuter pairing, but lord, I gotta admit something is interesting about the dynamic that diabel/ayana have – a demon becoming enamoured by the protagonist he’s personally chosen and the unwilling heroine who’s forced to perform… but the only way I’d see them reaching a solid endgame though is if Diabel becomes more invested in her emotionally and learns a bit more about morals, or Ayana is ‘corrupted’ and ends up having similar tastes to Diabel – both which would fundamentally change the characters, tbh, since Diabel would either have to become more human, or Ayana would have to become more demonic
