He just doesn’t like the idea of her loving him because he mixing his love for her with his guilt of what he did, thus he doesn’t think he can give her back an “untainted” love. What’s driving them apart is that he can’t tell her his complicated feelings because he can’t explain that he comes from an alternate future
@Kebaab I disagree. From the very start we knew this was a story that cared about honest emotional expression. We’ve seen abuse, victim-blaming, depression, suicide, crushing guilt, and lots of other things. But every time, the story made it clear: emotions are complicated and how you feel is valid. That’s such an underrated statement in all these manhuas. I much prefer watching these two struggle with identifying their emotions, trying to articulate, getting confused, and seeking advice. It’s better than them just pushing on into a relationship as if their messy pasts don’t mean anything. That’s what gives the story so much life and realistic charm, even if it makes it feel longer.

Instead of originally saying “is it okay for me to love Leon?” And him misunderstanding that as her asking it literally, she should have said “is it really okay for me to be loved” because that’s what she actually meant. Now their stupid misworded sentences are driving them apart because they don’t know how to speak like normal people.

I’m bored… This whole rinse and repeat of their problem is getting way too dragged out. I mean, they’ve already confessed and shit now they are confuse… again. The plot is starting to lose weight because of it.
