I really like this one.
Fun read with fun chars. I like that it’s focusing on something diff, but I’ll trust others about the accuracy or non existence of, cuz I can’t sew.

I waited for some interesting stuff, but it’s kinda boring

It’s cute and charming, but it’s another one where the author isn’t actually an expert on the craft they’re talking about, and that is made worse by an artist who knows even less. The premise is that the FL has landed in a world still relying on medieval-level sewing and clothes-making technology and design. Think clothing that is primarily made of all simple rectangles. While it’s great that the FL character has the requisite background and experience to evolve into more elaborate modern techniques, the author doesn’t acknowledge the major reasons behind the current method being necessary (for example: cloth before the industrial revolution is INSANELY expensive to make, so you don’t want to go cutting it up into little wasteful bits, and woven fabrics do not stretch, but the human body can go up and down 3-4 pounds in a single day. So you must have elaborate foundation garments, such as stays or a corset, or else complicated or body-forming designs are literally impossible. There are also laundering methods to consider. Delicate and complicated clothes would be ripped up by medieval laundry methods, and even in Victorian times, you’d have to remove ribbons, lace, buttons, etc. every time a garment is washed and then re-sew them on after) The wedding dress she makes, for example, would have taken literally thousands of hours of work to complete, the invention, from scratch, of many technologies and materials, and cost several hundred thousand USD in materials alone. All of this would be fine and chalked up to normal plot hole magic, but the artist continuously fails to reflect the basic tenets of the story in the art. All of clothes drawn are complicated, beautiful, and with ‘modern’ techniques and features, like puffed sleeves, form fitting bodices, and elaborate trim. Most of them look exactly like what the FL is wearing.

This manhwa is only one of the few manhwas where I feel the nobles and the royals are more relaxed, there’s already bunch and bunch of manhwa where they need to make the royals or fl parents to be evil, such a breath of fresh air.

Ml’s reason for picking fl is a little silly but i dig it. Their relationship is cute. I highly recommend

At least she’s going a little Italian renaissance mid-1400s. If I had to make a dress that fast, that’s what I’d do in this situation. I once made four of them in a week by myself. I think it’s helpful to look at it as a concept. Not every costume designer or scenic designer is going to go for straight realism. A lot of the time we try to say something with the choices being made, even if to say, “This is a blend of times and ideas rather that a specific time and place. It’s a fantasy convergence.” While I really didn’t care for the costumes in the show, The Wheel of Time books are a pretty good example of this idea done well as it’s taking place in a future time with a blend of cultures and ideas expressed in a different way than our direct past.
Outside of that rant, it’s cute. I enjoy it. Sure, some of those stitches should be different and I could probably go into a long discussion of how patterns were made historically, like many of these sorts of stories, it’s giving a lot of short hand that is representing what a person would actually do. I’m way less bothered by this one than I am some of the coffee, tea, and cooking stories. It’s not so nonsense that it’s impacting my suspension of disbelief.

I hate it when when it’s middle age, but we always see fucking XVth to XVIIIth century architecture and don’t forget the fucking Rapiers from the XVth century.
Man, European fantasy from Asia is just a pain in the ass.
