@Irene You want this kind of romance where your bf strings you along after you ask him to marry you? Instead of giving you a straight answer he talks about the gifts that you gave him? I sure wouldn’t appreciate that. Honestly she could answer him first and then tell him that she wants to marry him because she loves him and not because of the gifts. That would still be romantic. The definition of the word discussion is “the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas.” I don’t see anywhere in that definition that indicates the input has to be positive or supportive of the topic being discussed.
