MC is the real daughter. The MC and swan were found at the orphanage on the same day, as a baby swan was about to die soon and only people with small life force can absorbe the powers of the pendant and so swan was able to absorbe the powers from the pendant. And the powers in the pendant were the MC’s mother’s own remaining life force so swan got the appearance of the MC’s mother. Swan wasn’t originally as beautiful and she did not have dark hair and blue eyes like the MC’s mother. She looked average and had red hair and dark eyes. So you can say that Swan was truly the fake one and MC felt guilty and kept grieving about swan for pretty much no reason. When I think about it really makes me angry how the MC would show her likes and dislikes depending on what she thought swan’s likes and dislikes were because she thought that ‘she was a fake who had taken swan’s place’.
