Damn, PTSD is a hell of a thing. Imagine leaving all of your friends behind to win the war by themselves because you were poisoned by dark magic, only to find out that even 300 years after they died, bringing peace to the world, that same type of dark magic still exists, and you’re face to face with it once more, the same kind of magic that killed you the first time.
I don’t know why people who read reincarnation manhwa like this downplay death so much just cause the mc gets to live a second life. Death will never not be a traumatic experience, especially since the Rain’s trauma comes from dying before his comrades, leaving them all behind. It doesn’t take a genius to understand why he’s not moving like a veteran 5th rank mage. He doesn’t have the same level of strength that he did in his past life, plus, with all this mental baggage, it’s very obvious to me why he’s struggling right now. This is his first time since regaining his past memories that he’s facing off a strong monster possessing dark magic since he died, it’ll take him some time to get back to the point where stuff like this doesn’t affect him so badly, give the kid some time ffs.
