Why was the project even scrapped, since it’s supposedly the most expected game of the year 2039? No matter what kind of tragedy or calamity happened, the company and especially the investors would have never allowed a finished product to go unreleased.
Disagree with all 3 of you. If you spent a decade creating something with all your effort, not just yours but all of your colleagues efforts too, and then all of that comes to a stop abruptly due to an unfortunate event, it’s devastating.. YES, SOMEONE DIED, ITS SAD… But, It’s the death of a stranger. Like… It’s just not going to have the same level of emotional impact as the last half decade of your life and all your blood sweat and tears going down the drain.
Not to mention that the event where the guy died was 2 months prior to the scene in this chapter; The time for sorrow over that stranger has passed. Now is the time for the lingering sorrows.

What she seems more sorry that the game wasn’t able to be released than the guy that died? Could be not the games fault but regardless.
