I thought you had to freaking flee from the place so why not put a freaking disguise or at least deny who you are. And when you were a lil suspicious why can’t you have a better gut instinct and rely on it more? Having been on an unfortunate side for 10 years you’d think you’d learn something even if physically you didn’t grow much. But plot armour eh. I’ve got to give credit for how it was like a mix of the past and the future.
