Aside from him going on stage, this is trauma from his past—something he can’t just erase overnight. His former teammates looked down on him, tried to bring him down, and never truly treated him like a teammate. A lot of it came from jealousy. Forcing him into situations without acknowledging that only drags all of that back to the surface.
If this were Aiden, I think he should’ve taken a different approach. Instead of questioning whether he’s trying—or implying that he isn’t—I’d want him to focus on understanding why. From the outside, it might look like he’s not pushing himself, but that’s a shallow read. The real question is: what’s stopping him?
Trauma shows up in different ways, and progress doesn’t look the same for everyone. If you actually want someone to do better, you don’t pressure them—you try to understand their situation and approach it with some awareness.

Go understanding that they are not like the trashes from him past life and that they believe in him to do well is what that’ll give him motivation?
