Why is everyone so insensitive? Ofc the 2nd in command to a literal Mafia boss won’t be all sweet and nice. That little kid is literally traumatised by his mother’s death, afraid that his dad will also leave him behind. Why would a kid need to be slapped for not wanting to be left behind, the ml has alot to learn but you readers need to pause and give some thought to the story. If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
THANK YOU!!! Everyone else is angry that these people are so tightly wound and distrusting. Wouldn’t they if their wife/mother had been murdered because of their life in the Mafia? Also, what’s wrong with the ML having a son instead of a nephew? I know almost all of the other stories are that way but an adopted son is the exact same as a blood son when your dating the father. I agree that the ML is not great when it comes to other people, but he will probably get better.
