Actually, it does have military application. If that thing works on men and women and on any skin/part of the body, then for spy work it would be incredible.
BTW. I think it should have more side effects than only a time limit. Although it’s just me being nitpicky.

They’re not doing it for themselves to gain money. They’re helping her realise that she’s an amazing alchemist. N that she shouldn’t bring herself down. That her creations are amazing than she thinks it is. So by doing that they’re going to spread the word and help her sell it and show that her creations aren’t useless. That it can help many people.
