These are based of real people and thr real Deokim never told the King that she loved him. There’s a famous saying about that “the kind loved the maid but did the maid ever love the king?” So that’s why there’s this little plot now to explain why she won’t tell him she loves him.
I feel like it’s dragging the story a bit now… she realised she loves him a lot outside the palace… she felt a bit jealous with that lady… now she has him and she can’t tell him she loves him? Is she really that dumb?
