it seems much better if Madelyn with the brother but it will be awkward with the whole family.. Eric will be banished or ignored because he chooses Madelyn over his brother.. her life will be much harder if she ends up with Eric.
It will be bettwr if Madelyn is with someone else not related to that family at all so she can say good bye to the pain of the past
I know they would never, ever do it, but I think it would be delightfully ironic if she wound up with the younger brother and they were happy together without all of this drama
