Imagine telling a child who still needs nurturing “you’ll understand lol” before you abandon them. Never came back at all, really? Since she’s a mage I’d imagine there’s nothing the duke could do to stop her. Same could be said for the dad too. He really left underaged children with the estate? Poor kids traumatized by shitty adults / parents. Sorry but once you make the *conscious* choice to become a parent it DOES entail sacrifices because you are now responsible for rearing your children until adulthood. If you’re not ready for that responsibility don’t make children simple as that. Shitty mother and father. Can’t blame the brother for doing what he did because he clearly has attachment issues due to their parents, so he at least wanted his sister’s body back, no matter the cost. Is it a stupid move? Sure. Was it something they couldn’t bounce back from? No, they had 10 mines left and the rest of the family assets. ALL of the remaining family members fcked up big time by fighting over properties that lead to the family’s ruin.

Tye problem was not just the mother ,the father too couldn’t manage their differences,he wasn’t ready to give her a little trip . They couldn’t appreciate and respect their differences. And being a mother doesn’t need to to come with sacrifices of an individual. Please rethink your mindset.
Why would you even consider becoming a mother if you’re not ready to give up what you love to the most. Even if that’s the case, you have beautiful children, the could replace the thing that you loved the most, but not now, not only did you leave, you scarred the children for the rest of their life and letting them make us in the state that you did.
