He probably felt guilty that she was probably pushing herself so hard after her parents’ passing was so she could contribute and elevate the status of her adoptive family. I don’t think she’s anything like her mother at all. If anything the whole reason she went to subjugate the demon is for her family in the first place. Not for her own personal gratification (like the mother) but for her brother and the future generations. It’s the future generations that fcked up because they couldn’t handle the assets properly. Her brother sold a mere 10 mines. They have 10 more left and several others. The act of selling the mines would’ve put quite a dent in their finances but not to the point of ruin. Likely it’s just bad decisions made one after another in the subsequent generations. She’s not just cleaning up “her and her brother’s mess”, she’s cleaning up the mess of the generations she wanted to protect. I don’t think she’s any different this time around, clearly she’s going to work hard to ensure her two bros will have a good life, just like she did in her past life.
So basically what I can get from this, and this is just my opinion, so please don’t go after me, she had a mother who was so free spirited that she didn’t even care about her child’s upbringing because she thought her husband was going to take care of that, but her husband’s obsession was so much that he went after her, and then she ended up getting killed, and then her husband committed suicide, and to make matters worse, her daughter took on the same traits as her mother, and didn’t realized that the most important thing was family, her brother, even though he wasn’t the biological brother, and at the end of everything because of her decision to go fight the demon and dying. Her family’s glory and everything that she wanted for the next generation is gone. And now, that she’s been reborn, she has to clean it up the mess that her and her brother left behind, since now she understands what family really is and going out and doing the amazing things, isn’t what is important if I miss something, somebody please tell me because I don’t think I did.
