   It’s a pretty typical break up wish fulfillment type story. They used our FL poorly and dumped her with scraps because they thought she was an unwanted, disinherited, washed up female knight with no other options. Now she miraculously reveals she is a super high powered asset, a diamond under all that mud, and they’re going to regret it.

   It only works if the characters involved are incredibly boorish and a touch stupid. (Her ex husband, for example, is shocked, shocked I say! to discover that her close cousin is the heir of the most powerful dukedom in the country, and cannot, for the life of him, remember which extremely decorated and famous unit of the military she served in, nor did he think that she’d be taking her dowry and assets back)

   They do get divorced nearly immediately but have to wait around for official approval of a few months. During which time, she voluntarily continues to live in the house because 1) she got super sick for a while, and 2) these idiots think she has no where else to go, so they plan to use her in perpetuity as a free/underpaid finance manager. Which she decides to use to screw them over before she finally bails.

   None of the “revenge” is that outlandish and they honestly would have ruined themselves on their own.

   The FL does have Mary Sue level plot armor (despite two years of seeming like a rejected mouse, she is brilliant at everything and each of her connections, friends, and “secret” achievements are more illustrious than the last as they are revealed)

   I say this one is fluff for someone still smarting a little over a break up. The bad guys are bad, the good guys are good, you won’t feel bad about any of the revenge, and the FL gets the best post-divorce trade up.

   Good to know the ML is Rowan. Her father is so stupid to give her away to a divorcee that will not value her daughter. Gggrrr. What chapter she can escape? I’m so stressed. Haha

   I have no idea why the FL didn’t just leave and neither do the supporting characters. This story could have ended in like 3 chapters??

   I want to read it but I just got here after watching a short Chinese drama and 2 tragic stories all with the husband cheating and using FL. I don’t think I can handle more stress and frustration over the fact that all the female characters just leaves it be until they are used up, almost killed, or already dead😑. Why is she still staying with them after the divorce?
