I can tell that Sunshine123 has never been to a non-tropical coast before lmao. Coasts are NOT all tropical resorts with sunny beaches. There’s coasts all over the world, and the winds and more coming off the sea (or even a lake!) can be VERY VERY cold and damp. In fact, the great lakes of Michigan literally create huge snowfalls and tons of rain in what we call ‘The Lake Effect’ here in the states…. and Michigan is LANDLOCKED! xD That’s how big those lakes are!!
.
Sauce: I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. For those who haven’t been inside the Pacific Ocean before, it’s COLD. The water is FREEZING.
.
The beach? ALSO COLD; down to your bones, even in the summer sometimes. We even have rainforests up there in the cascade mountains – and the cold there got to me far worse than any sub-zero flash freezes did in New York or anywhere else on the East Coast; that shit is damp, freezing, soaks past wind breakers and thick downy jackets to make even your bones and joints ache.
.
TLDR; ‘coastal’ =/= ‘tropical’ – if this was set in Florida, I’d agree with you. But I’m not naive enough to think that every coast is a beach, and that every beach in the world is like Miami. Lol.

Girl, it’s too late now. You can’t just live “detached from the story”, when you already did so many things.

Love her but coastal areas and warm beds are kinda making me want to throw up….
